Crochet Craft Club No. 14 | 4.19.24

Hello and happy spring! 🌼 

The days are getting warmer and brighter, so I’ve been taking my WIPs outside to work under the sun.

I find it hard to focus on work this time of year. The sunshine and anticipation of summer just make me want to craft, crochet, and read. Kim was right. No one wants to work these days. I don’t.

Anyway, here are some WIP updates, along with some pattern recs! Enjoy!

It’s Baby Blanket Season

It feels weird to call spring “blanket season” because the temperatures are rising, and the days are getting longer. But that’s just how it’s working out this year.

One of my besties is having a baby shower in June. Naturally, I’m making a blanket as a gift.

I know this rainbow shape is super trendy right now, but I like it, okay? I was immediately drawn to this gorgeous color palette that @kerryandtheboys posted on Instagram, so I tracked down the pattern.

I started the Rainbox Mix Baby Blanket by SkinnyBeader on Ravelry, and I couldn’t be more thrilled. I love the different textures and stitches. I’m making up the color palette as I got along, but I’m sticking with earth tones and blue hues.

Hopefully, the new baby will like it, too!

Finished Object: The Kaunokki Blanket by Molla Mills

I finished this beautiful blanket by Molla Mills a few weeks ago! I absolutely loved working on this pattern. The color changes and flower motif were an absolute dream to work on. This pattern was adapted from the Kaunokki rug pattern in Molla Mills’ Crochet Crush book. I highly recommend it!

I loved it so much that I’m making another blanket for another friend. This time, I’m using Caron One Pound in Beige and Loops & Threads in Baked Clay.
