Mid-Century Modern Throw by KnitsNKnotsWpg
This fantastic mid-century modern crochet blanket has been continuously served to me on Pinterest for MONTHS. Well, I finally gave in and purchased a copy of the pattern for myself.
I haven’t started it yet, but a quick scan through the pdf tells me it’s a comprehensive pattern with a graph chart. Love a good graph pattern.
Mom I’m Tired by Destiny Makes (free!)
If you’re a crocheter on insta, you probably know the work of @destiny.makes. Destiny’s tapestry crochet patterns are so, so good.
The Mom I’m Tired tapestry seems especially relevant for this time of year, especially if you have a complicated relationship with your fam. The pattern is based on mitski’s song Class of 2013 (which is when i graduated omg 👵🏻).
There are a bunch of patterns for sale on Destiny’s website. Plenty of free charts are available if you want to practice before diving in and purchasing.
Is Kevin G from Mean Girls a Crafty Influencer?!
I recently learned that Rajiv Surendra (who played Kevin Gnapoor in Mean Girls) makes absolutely delightful lifestyle content on YouTube.
Am I in love? YES. Because Rajiv isn’t into just any kind of lifestyle content. He’s into crafty lifestyle content.
He does it all. Here’s a reel of Rajiv spinning yarn with an old-school spinning wheel. He is basically an expert at spinning wool. Because of course he is.
I’m slowly going through Rajiv’s YouTube videos and enjoying their educational, calm, and down-to-earth vibes. It’s like watching a PBS show, and I love it.
Oh, and he also casually knows how to play the harp. Like I said, he does it all.
