Happy first week of fall! I hope everyone has busted out their sweaters and planned a few soup recipes. It’s still over 80 degrees where I live, but I’m all about that delusion.

Here are a few cute and cozy patterns to get into the spirit of the season.

Crochet: Charlie Brown Jumper by Stresstitches

I’m not the biggest fan of crochet sweaters, but this pattern is super cute. It’s chunky in classic crochet sweater fashion, but it works with the Charlie Brown pattern.

Knit: I’m Batty for Halloween Socks by StoneKnits

It’s been a few months since I’ve sent out a newsletter and guess what? I still don’t know how to knit. But if YOU know how to knit, you should make these adorable Halloween-themed socks. Bats? Cute!

Apparently, Moo Deng, the adorable pygmy hippo, is having a moment. ✨ Someone named @nenaplush on IG crocheted Moo Deng, and it’s delightful. There’s not a pattern or anything (I wish there was). Enjoy the ungovernable Moo Deng energy in these photos.

Currently Reading: ‘Salem’s Lot by Stephen King

I’m not sure if anyone cares, but I’m going to start including a little tidbit about what I’m currently reading. I always want to know what other people are reading, so I’m going to assume you want to know what I’m reading in turn, okay?

Rn I’m reading ‘Salem’s Lot to kick off my annual spooky reading season. Let me tell you—it’s GOOD. Sure, there are some parts that are waaay outdated and would not fly if it was published today (major homophobia and, like, a fucking creepy obsession with a high school girl; no thanks), but besides that it’s a solid vampire horror novel. King is so good at building tension and revealing just enough to freak you out and keep you reading.
